Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are reportedly heading for divorce, according to TMZ. The outlet reports that the couple have “separated after a nuclear argument” that involves cheating allegations.
Per TMZ, sources say that Sam “confronted Britney” over “rumors” that she “stepped out on him”—and while said rumors are unverified, the confrontation lead to a fight. Sam allegedly has moved out of their shared home and is living alone, and—per an insider— “it’s only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce.”
TMZ also reports that there has been “deep trouble” in Sam and Britney’s marriage for months and they’ve had “blowout fights.”
Sam and Britney have a prenup, but an insider alleges that Britney could end up settling things with him financially.
After their engagement, Sam addressed concern about their prenup, saying “My phone exploded today! Thank you for the overwhelming love and congratulations! We both love every single one of you! Thank you for your concern about the prenup! Of course we’re getting ironclad prenup to protect my Jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day. 😂😂”
Britney and Sam have been together since 2016, when he appeared in her music video for “Slumber Party.” He said of their meeting on set, “It was the humbleness that attracted me. She was very humble and she had a beautiful soul.” They got engaged in 2021 and tied-the-knot in 2022.
Thus far, neither Sam nor Britney have commented on reports of their split.
