Dua Lipa Is Giving ’90s Supermodel in Archival Chanel at the 2023 Met Gala

Dua Lipa has arrived at the Met Gala and—predictably!—her look did not disappoint. Dua showed up on the red carpet relatively early thanks to being a co-chair, wearing a gorgeous cream archival Chanel gown from FW ’92.

Reminder that Dua is co-chairing this year’s Met Gala along with Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer, and—of course—Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The theme for this year? Simply “in honor of Karl,” which is definitely open to interpretation.

Dua revealed her role as cochair on Instagram back in January, saying “Excited to announce that I am one of the #MetGala 2023 Co-Chairs alongside Michaela Coel, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer and Anna Wintour. See you for the First Monday in May #CostumeInstitute Benefit. 🌹 The 2023 Met Gala celebrates the opening of ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ and provides The Costume Institute with its primary source of annual funding for exhibitions, publications, acquisitions, operations, and capital improvements.”

Dua was last at the Met Gala for 2019’s Camp: Notes on Fashion, where she hit it out of the campy park in Versace.
