There’s been a ton of speculation about what the royals would wear to King Charles’ coronation—especially when it came to whether Kate Middleton would wear a tiara. Answer: nope! Looks like Kate opted for a sparkly custom headpiece, which she matched with her daughter Princess Charlotte.

FYI, there was a ton of drama over whether or not Kate would wear a tiara to this event. According to The Mirror, senior royals including Kate were “rushing” to finalize details of their coronation lewks, and aides were reportedly “working around the clock.” As one source said: “Senior female royals were only informed of outfits this week, prompting a rush to finalize fitting arrangements.”

Meanwhile, there were also said to be “rows over tiaras,” specifically, whether or not Kate and other senior royals like Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh would “wear tiaras into the church before the Queen Consort enters the Abbey.”

Kate ended up entering the Abbey after Queen Camilla, but Duchess Sophie arrived ahead of time, wearing a similar headpiece:
