Combing the interwebs for the right pair of crotchless underwear is no small feat. With so many designs, materials, and reviews to scroll through, we got some expert shopping tips from Leila Francomb, Assistant Designer at lingerie brand Adore Me, to help you find your perfect pair.
Prioritize size and fabric.
First and foremost, make sure you choose the right size underwear. Check the brand’s size guide, and don’t be afraid to size up—your crotchless underwear shouldn’t be digging in where they aren’t supposed to. Next, find a material that doesn’t irritate your skin. “Soft lace and mesh are great options for crotchless underwear,” Francomb advises. “Lace is popular among women’s lingerie and often gives a romantic feel. Mesh has a more daring and edgy vibe, it’s also lightweight and breathable, making it comfortable to wear.”
According to Francomb, a recent trend in crotchless underwear has been lingerie brands incorporating an open back into the design, too—so if you’re looking for a way to show off your backside too, that’s it, bb! Not sure how to style crotchless underwear? Pair them with a lacy bra or sheer robe. And as the lingerie designer recommends, “You can wear crotchless underwear as a playful surprise under everyday clothing. Throw on a pair under a dress for date night!”
