Ethan Slater Goes Private as Fans Mine His Instagram for Clues Amid Reports He’s Dating Ariana Grande

It’s truly been a week for celebrity splits between Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello announcing their divorce, Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez ending their marriage, and Bella Hadid and her boyfriend Marc Kalman ending their relationship. And just when we’d emotionally recovered from all these updates, TMZ casually revealed that Ariana Grande is dating her Wicked costar Ethan Slater.

And seems like the sudden attention has been a lot for Ethan, because he turned his Instagram completely private.

According to TMZ, Ethan had been married to singer Lilly Jay since 2018, and they have a son together. The outlet notes that he and Ariana didn’t start dating until after their separation. And speaking of Lilly, back in November Ethan reportedly wrote an anniversary post to to her, saying “My best friend. 4 years married, 10 years together. And this is easily the best and most (*bizarre*) year yet.” More recently in May, he wrote “Happy first Mother’s Day, to the most loving caring and wonderful mom/person in the world, from me and this little guy.”

Meanwhile, a People source confirmed that “Ariana and Dalton separated in January. She and Ethan recently began dating, and he is separated from his wife.”

So, how does Dalton Gomez feel about Ariana’s new man? Unclear, but a source was literally just out here telling Us Weekly that “Dalton has been devastated” by the breakup, is “really hoping to make things work with Ariana,” and that “despite the rocky patches they’ve been through, he isn’t ready to give up on their marriage. He saw himself spending the rest of his life with Ariana and will do anything to get past this.”
