JSYK, Netflix Is Making Julia Garner *Rich* Rich

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (no offense, if you have, I’m very jealous), there’s a good chance you’ve seen or at least heard about Julia Garner. Not to be confused with fellow actress Jennifer Garner, Julia has dominated the Netflix streaming platform with shows like Ozark and Inventing Anna. Yes, she played ~the~ Anna Delvey and yes, we still use the “I do not have time for this, I do not have time for you” line on a daily basis. But that’s beside the point.

The 29-year-old actress slash model slash cheekbone goals slash chameleon has accomplished so much in so little time, including winning several Emmy Awards. And ofc, with those many accomplishments comes MANY dollar signs. Naturally, we were curious to see just what Julia Garner’s net worth is in 2023, and let’s just say, she isn’t pulling an Anna Delvey!

She was making bank before her big Netflix roles

Before landing her iconic roles on Ozark and Inventing Anna, Julia Garner already had an impressive resume. At just 17, she made her film debut as Sarah in 2011’s Martha Marcy May Marlene, and she’s been hustling her butt off ever since. She earned film credits in several more movies—including The Last Exorcism Part II, Not Fade Away, Electrick Children, We Are What We Are, Sin City: A Dame to Kill, Grandma, and Perks of Being a Wallflower—before transitioning to streaming series, which is where she *really* hit her stride.

How much $$$ hit Julia’s bank account for Ozark?

Not only did Julia’s role as Ruth Langmore land her two Emmys, but it (probably) gave her bank account a major glow up. “I love playing Ruth so much, and every single day I just feel so lucky to be doing this,” she gushed during her acceptance speech.

Though Julia’s Ozark salary hasn’t been confirmed, it’s pretty safe to assume that she made a pretty penny from the Netflix gig. Word on the street is that she made about the same amount per episode as her co-stars, Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, and according to Variety, both stars made a cool $300,000…per episode! So, if we want to do that math, we’re looking at at least $13.2 million for all four seasons of Ozark. Not to mention—as the only cast member to win an Emmy—there’s a good chance she earned even more as the show advanced before it ended in 2022.

What did Julia make for her role in Inventing Anna?

Based on the New York Magazine article, “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People,” Shonda Rhimes’ Inventing Anna was one of Netflix’s most successful shows of the year, and for good reason. When a wealthy wannabe German heiress manages to con millions of dollars and look good while doing it, audiences can’t help but pay attention. Julia played the main character, Anna Delvey (also known as Anna Sorokin), and gave fans one iconic scene after another.

Just like Ozark, Netflix is keeping Julia’s paycheck under wraps. However, we do know what the real-life con artist got out of it! Insider reported that Anna Sorokin was paid $320,000 by the streaming service giant for the rights to adapt her life into Inventing Anna. Sounds like a fat check, right? Well, for Anna, most of it went towards paying restitution to the banks she defrauded, as well as some pesky attorney fees. Do with that information what you will…

She’s got that modeling money on the side

With her s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g bone structure, it was only a matter of time before the actress became a model/muse.

Not only has Julia graced the pages of magazines like Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and Marie Claire, but she’s also landed brand deals with every fashionista’s dream designers. We’re talking Swarovski, Prada, and of course, Gucci’s iconic campaign with Elliot Page and Rihanna’s husband A$AP Rocky.

With campaigns like these under her belt, there’s no telling how much she’s racking up for posing in front of the camera.

Oh, and her husband is RICH, too!

The older I get, the more I lean into the idea of marrying for money, tbh. Luckily for Julia Garner, she’s got enough money in her bank account to take care of herself (and then some!), so marrying a famous singer was just icing on the cake. ICYMI, she tied the knot with Mark Foster back in 2019—and yes, I’m referring to indie pop band Foster the People Mark Foster. As in “Pumped Up Kicks” Mark Foster.

So, if you take into account Mark’s income from album sales, concerts, and music rights, along with his $2.15 million compound property in the Hollywood Hills, Julia’s husband has a net worth of $10 million, per Celebrity Net Worth. Okay!!

Julia Garner’s net worth is…drum roll please…

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the actress’ net worth comes out to be $3 million. And though that estimate may seem low for all of her accomplishments, there’s no telling how much that number will skyrocket if she keeps on the path she’s currently on.
