Angelina Jolie Perfects Transitional Dressing in a Black Maxi Dress

Angelina Jolie is continuing to champion the edited, monochrome wardrobe, and looking fabulous while doing so.

The actor, director, and producer looked as elegant as ever Tuesday, when she was spotted out in New York City with her youngest daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.

The centerpiece of her ensemble was a black maxi dress with ruched details and a scoop neckline. She styled the romantic piece with a sleek black blazer, glossy baby-pink pumps by Christian Louboutin, and her favorite quilted black leather clutch by Saint Laurent. Jolie further accessorized with black-frame sunglasses with slightly tinted lenses, and timeless jewelry, including rectangular diamond drop earrings, diamond studs, a gold bangle, and a dainty gold thumb ring. Her hair was slicked back into a neat bun, and she wore minimal makeup.

Next to the Those Who Wish Me Dead star was her 15-year-old daughter. Vivienne kept it casual in a white long-sleeved shirt, black pants, and black Converse sneakers.

Jolie’s latest simple yet sophisticated look is the epitome of her style.

Late last month, she was spotted out in Rome looking like classic Hollywood in a cream-colored double-breasted Chanel blazer with vintage-inspired golden buttons. She wore the piece with breezy white pants and her same Saint Laurent pouch. Jolie further elevated the sophisticated ensemble with the same black sunglasses, plus gold and diamond jewelry.

And in June, she was seen walking in New York City with son Pax Jolie-Pitt; the actor looked fantastic in a chic white trench coat, which she layered over a black midi dress and paired with sheer tights, black pointed-toe pumps, a white leather crossbody bag, and large black sunglasses. She further accessorized with small gold hoop earrings and gold rings.
