Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater appear to still be going strong amid all the (somewhat messy!) drama surrounding their relationship. Quick recap: these two got together while filming Wicked. And while Ariana had already ended her marriage to Dalton Gomez, sources have differing opinions on whether Ethan had already ended his marriage to Lilly Jay by the time he and Ari started dating.
Either way, Ethan has officially filed for divorce—and a source tells Entertainment Tonight that his relationship with Ariana is “still progressing.”
“Ethan is trying to be as amicable as possible with Lilly as he navigates his next steps. He wants to be the best dad he can be, regardless of the current circumstances,” the source explains. “He is taking things day by day and trying to keep his private life private, out of respect for everyone involved.”
Meanwhile, Ariana is said to be “trying to give Ethan some space as he figures everything out,” and the insider also notes that she wishes Dalton Gomez (who is “slowly trying to move on” from the relationship) “the best.”
Oh, and while we’re here: ET’s source appears to have some intel on how Ariana’s brother Frankie Grande feels about her and Ethan’s whole thing, saying Frankie “just wants Ariana to be happy and supports her every step of the way. He respects the fact that she knows what’s best for her, and as long as Ethan is treating her well, he feels good.”
As of now, neither Ari or Ethan have publicly acknowledged their relationship, but stay tuned!
