Calista Flockhart is proving that good wardrobe pieces never go out of style.
The actress attended the premiere of her husband Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny wearing a golden yellow Ralph Lauren skirt she originally wore to the Emmy Awards in 1999.
Elizabeth Stewart, Flockhart’s stylist, posted on Instagram, “#CalistaFlockhart heading to the Los Angeles premiere of #IndianaJones in the same golden yellow @ralphlauren skirt she wore to the Emmys in 1999! Cherish and rewear your clothes people! 😉😊💛💛💛💛💛💛💛 (and yes we’ve worked together that long!)”
In the comments of Stewart’s post, fans praised Flockhart’s commitment to sustainability—and gushed over the 1999 outfit. “That 1999 outfit lives in my head eternally and I want to wear some version of it every time I go out,” one wrote. “I remember the skirt!!!!” proclaimed another.
While Ralph Lauren no longer makes the skirt Flockhart wore 24 years ago, they do have a modern version of the yellow maxi skirt in their Spring and Summer 2023 collection, made of a silk taffeta.
At the 1999 Emmys, Flockhart paired the skirt with a white button-down shirt she tied up to reveal her midriff. She accessorized with a diamond necklace and diamond studs, and wore strappy sandals. At the awards, she was nominated for Best Actress in a comedy series for her role in Ally McBeal, but didn’t win. The show, however, took home the trophy for Best Comedy Series.
For the premiere of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Flockhart swapped the casual white top for a black fitted off-the-shoulder top. She accessorized with dangling hoop earrings, and forwent any necklace.
Flockhart is set to star in the upcoming Feud: Captoe’s Women as Lee Radziwill, the younger sister of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
