Chris Rock and Lake Bell are reportedly dating. According to People, a source said the two have actually “been seeing each other for a few weeks” now. The insider added: “It’s a pretty new relationship. They are getting to know each other and seem to have fun.”
Rock and Bell kept each other company on a few friendly outings over Fourth of July weekend. On July 4, the two actors were photographed on a casual dinner date at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. Just a day before, they were spotted out having brunch in the same neighborhood at Coast restaurant, per TMZ, which also reported that Rock and Bell were seen at a Cardinals game in St. Louis last month.
On July 24, the pair were seen out and about in New York City following a vacation to Croatia. “Chris has a busy work schedule right now,” a source told People. “Lake joins him on tour when she can. They are making it work. They seem happy. Chris is very attentive and seems to really like spending time with her.”
Neither Rock nor Bell has publicly addressed the nature of their relationship yet, but they appear to be taking things slow. The source who confirmed their romance also told People that Bell’s children — daughter Nova and son Ozgood — are still “her first priority.”
Bell, who hasn’t been romantically linked to any other stars besides Colin Farrell, announced her split from ex Scott Campbell — whom she shares her two kids with — in October 2020 following seven years of marriage. Meanwhile, Rock and his ex-wife, Malaak Compton-Rock, finalized their divorce in 2016, nearly 20 years after they tied the knot. The former couple share two daughters, Lola and Zahra. Since their split, Rock has reportedly dated other actors like Megalyn Echikunwoke and Carmen Ejogo.
Aside from their newfound relationship, Rock and Bell are busy with their own respective projects. Bell is gearing up for the third season of HBO Max’s “Harley Quinn” series, which premieres July 28, while Rock is featured in the upcoming “Amsterdam” crime drama, starring big names like Margot Robbie, Taylor Swift, John David Washington, and Robert De Niro.
