Ethan Slater and Ariana Grande have yet to speak out about their relationship (a source tells TMZ that they’re “trying to lay low and be respectful of their exes as they pursue this new relationship”), but apparently they’re fully in it.
An insider tells Us Weekly that Ethan and Ariana are “very much in love,” though apparently his friends are “worried she’ll break his heart.” This same source adds that the newly minted couple “weren’t careful” on set of Wicked and were actually straight up “sloppy,” noting that they’d “hold hands on set in between takes.”
Ooookay!
Anyway, this update comes amid Ethan officially filing for divorce from his estranged wife Lilly Jay, who’s feeling “betrayed” by the split. Meanwhile, Ariana and her estranged husband Dalton Gomez separated all the way back in January, and—despite the fact that he’s also dating other people—Dalton wants Ari back.
According to an Entertainment Tonight source, “Dalton is having a hard time after his breakup with Ariana. It has been a difficult time for him because he wanted to make things work.”
Turns out Dalton still “has a lot of love for her and still considers her his partner, but she has moved on. Dalton’s friends are encouraging him to do the same.”
ET’s source also stressed that Ariana and Ethan “didn’t start dating until both were broken up with their significant others” and that “Ariana and Dalton remain friends.”
So at least there’s that?
