Not sure if you’re aware of this important information, but Eva Mendes has a line of smart sponges called Skura that tell you when they need to be changed—and she just created a dress made entirely out of them.
Eva shared pics of her fit on Instagram, writing “Oscar lewk? Met Gala? Is this what they mean when they say ‘clean fashion’? Ok, not great, but if you can do better I’ll post yours later today. Whatcha got ?! 💗”

Anyway, Eva also posted a cute video of Ryan Gosling repping her sponges during a Barbie press interview with Margot Robbie, saying “Eva Mendes makes a sponge, like a Skura Sponge. This is a good opportunity to say that it’s an amazing sponge. It tells you when it’s ready to be changed. The logo fades when it’s time to change it.” He also told Margot he’d get her some sponges, which, jealous.
Eva has been super supportive of Ryan during his Kenaissance, posting a quote from Greta Gerwig on Instagram (she compared him to a “combination of MARLON BRANDO meets GENE WILDER meets JOHN BARRYMORE meets JOHN TRAVOLTA”) and saying “One of my favorite things the insanely talented & beautiful GRETA GERWIG says in @rollingstone about Mi Hombre, Mi Vida, Mi Amor …RG💗”
And Ryan was actually asked by Access Hollywood how he feels about Eva calling him the greatest actor she’s ever worked with, saying “It means everything. It means everything.”
