Sorry to anyone still waiting on a wishing star for Bella Hadid and The Weeknd to get back together, but it doesn’t seem like a reconciliation will be happening between those two anytime soon! In fact, Bella seems to have *fully* moved on to a new guy (who isn’t Jack Nicholson’s grandson—remember that brief romance?).
Because she is smart and knows all the tricks of the paparazzi and internet sleuths (lol), she actually managed to fool people for a while before we all realized she was with someone new. Enter: Marc Kalman, who’s kiiind of a big deal when it comes to art. The two are genuinely so cute together, and they’ve been together since—brace yourself—2020. I know!!
SO. Let’s figure out everything there is to know about Marc, who has been Bella’s low-key other half for quite a while now.
The two are Insta official, baby.
Just to make sure everyone is on the same page, Bella first hinted at her current romance back in July 2021 when she posted a pic of herself living it up somewhere in Cannes before touching down in Paris (model things). “Time of my life,” she captioned the post (per Us Weekly). “Healthy, working, and loved.” Loved by whom, you ask? The guy hiding in the final photo in the (since-deleted) pic:
Fans promptly tracked down this guy’s identity quicker than the FBI and CIA combined, and for THAT I am thankful.
Since then, we’ve gotten a number of glimpses of Marc, including a 🥺 mirror selfie the supermodel shared within a carousel of images of the two of them in their bathing suits, presumably on vacay.

And they’ve recently become more visible.
Marc attended Gigi Hadid’s b-day in April 2022—I mean, this thing is family-approved, people. Then literally the next day, Bella and Marc were snapped smooching during a romantic brunch date (it hurts to see other people living your dream, but alas!). And if that wasn’t enough, earlier that month, the pair jetted off to Italy to eat gelato, where Marc made an appearance on her Instagram grid, aka how you know it’s serious.
Fast-forward to May 10, 2022 when Ms. Bella ~did a thing~ and wished Marc a “happy birthday to my wooniiiiiii” via Instagram Stories over a pic of her licking his face. Listen, I’m not not into it.
That same day, the lovebirds were also snapped on a cute date night (btw, love those leather pants):
Then legit 24 hours after, Marc and Bella were out and about shopping (per usual, with the supermodel looking amazing in an outfit that would be objectively ridiculous on anyone else):
Sooo you could say the pair are hitting new levels of PDA and cuddliness, and I/the world could not be happier.
They’re world-class jet-setters.
Pics of the happy couple were taken last May 28, after the two stopped for lunch at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. Not only did the duo take in the truly stunning views at the beach, but Marc was also there to support Bella, who was in France for the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Très romantique! Afterwards, the two were spotted back in the country—this time for Fashion Week. You know what they say: The couple who travels together stays together!
Oh, and there may be a proposal pretty soon. 👀
At least that’s what a source told Entertainment Tonight in July 2022 anyway. More specifically, the source said, “Marc is planning to propose to Bella in the fall. They have spoken about getting engaged and having their wedding in California.” Awww! Plus, both Marc and Bella have the approval from each other’s family, so you know that’s a good sign to take a ’ship to the next level. “Bella’s family loves Marc and Marc’s family loves Bella,” said the source. “They think she is sweet, down-to-earth, and genuine.”
The insider also noted that Bella and Marc “are so happy together” and “are truly in love,” so this potential engagement doesn’t feel far-fetched at all. Guess we’ll have to see how it all shakes out because time’s a tickin’!
Marc works primarily in art direction.
Bella’s BF has some preeetty A-list clientele under his belt—most notably, he’s done visuals for Travis Scott’s past albums and tour merchandise. The creative even worked on Travis’s branding alongside artist Corey Damon Black, and the pair did an interview with 1985 to discuss their work. The writer of the profile described Marc as a good listener (A+ quality for a partner to have), a “young Fabien Baron, Charles Saatchi, and Steve Jobs all rolled into one,” and “more cautious and calculating” than his artistic partner.
Corey also had some ~words~ for Marc and said that he “manages my impulses. When I’m working on something, Marc is, like, the only person I will talk to. I go into a cave. I don’t want to hear what anyone else thinks.” Kay, color me convinced! Outside of working with Travis, Marc has *also* designed clothing for A Bathing Ape and worked on branding for Made Fashion Week for Milk Studios.
They’ve been dating WAY longer than we originally thought.
Page Six reported that Marc and Bella kept their relationship under wraps for A WHOLE YEAR before deciding to go public with their romance on Instagram, y’all. They’ve actually been dating since July 2020, but fans didn’t notice signs of Bella and Marc’s relationship because they often had no physical contact with each other where paparazzi would catch them.
“They hid it well,” a source told the outlet. “If they went out, he would come out first, get the car, and then she would get into the car. They would drive to a location and he’d drop her off but not get out and go park the car. They were very diligent about not being seen on a public street at the same time.”
And there’s picture proof to back it up! The earliest Marc and Bella were seen together was on July 2, 2020—Marc is hiding in plain sight in the navy blue T-shirt (he’s the one with the light hair):

Don’t hop on IG thinking you’ll find Marc posting—his Instagram is private. He and Bella follow each other though, so…there’s that!

Bella and Marc maintained their *very* low-key status for a while, but a rare sighting in February 2022 only made us love them both more, TBH. Bella and Marc were spotted volunteering together at the Bowery Shelter in New York City.
Bella did share some snaps from the day of giving back on IG, but Marc was predictably absent from the pics.
And he’s a low-key person in general.
Before 2022, you didn’t often see pics of Bella and Marc together. That was by design, and Bella apparently really appreciates Marc’s low-key nature.
“Bella is used to dating men who are well known in the public eye. But she’s loving the fact that Marc is more low-key and behind the scenes than her previous boyfriends,” an insider told Hollywood Life of the couple. “She always has so much going on and so does he. But that allows them to miss each other more often and they cherish the time they do get to spend together. They work really great together.”
