News from Buckingham Palace: King Charles and Prince William are truly vibing lately. And apparently it’s all thanks to their “united front” against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Which…uh…okay!
As you might be aware, the Sussexes haven’t exactly been getting along with the rest of the royal family for the past several years—and matters became even more strained when Prince Harry dropped his tell-all memoir Spare. All the drama resulted in King Charles and Prince William putting up a united front, which seems to have helped them bond. At least according to royal expert and author Christopher Andersen.
“They’ve had to put up this united front against Harry and Meghan,” Andersen tells Us Weekly. “They’ve been insulted by members of their own family. It’s been quite the ordeal for them, and I think that they kind of circled the wagon, so to speak. And they’ve come out of that with a stronger bond.”
Andersen also touched on recent (false!) rumors that Meghan and Harry are separating (again, false!), saying he doesn’t “see any evidence” of a split, and noting that theirs is “not just a Hollywood marriage. It’s a Hollywood marriage with the whole tensions of royalty thrown in. Frankly, people on that level, it’s very hard to imagine how they keep their sanity because [there’s] no privacy, none whatsoever. And people are constantly harping about them. The best thing they can do is ignore everything.”
Which appears to be what they’re doing!
