Over the past decade in Hollywood, there have been few celebrity friendships as discussed and dissected as Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods‘. The two former besties were the epitome of close until a cheating scandal involving Jordyn and Kylie’s sister Khloé Kardashian’s parter Tristan Thompson erupted in 2019. Now, four years and some distance later, Kylie and Jordyn have been spotted out in public again, fueling reconciliation rumors. Here’s a look at how they got here.
~2012: Kylie and Jordyn meet through a very famous friend
Kylie and Jordyn met the summer before starting high school through a mutual friend…who just happens to be Jaden Smith. Kylie met Jaden back in middle school, whereas Jordyn had been lifelong friends with the Smith fam. One day, Kylie and Jaden decided to invite Jordyn over to hang out, and the rest was history.
“You put your name in my phone with a purple heart, and I still have the purple heart in my phone,” Kylie said in 2018.

December 2013: Kylie makes her first appearance on Jordyn’s Instagram
The first photographic evidence of Kylie and Jordyn’s friendship came in December 2013, when Jordyn posted an Instagram photo of them together here. “Merry Christmas from the goths❤️,” she captioned the pic of her and Kylie in all-black ensembles.
May 2014: Jordyn attends Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding
Jordyn attended Kylie’s big sis Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s Italian nuptials.
November 2015: Jordyn supports Kylie’s lip kit launch
Kylie hit her first major career milestone when she launched her lip kits in 2015. (The start of a beauty empire, who knew?) And who was there to show support? Jordyn, of course. Not only did she attend Kylie’s launch party, but she also said she was online at 8:59 a.m. that day ready to buy a lip kit, only to refresh the page a minute later and see they were already sold out!
February 2016: Kylie and Jordyn attend New York Fashion Week together
Kylie and Jordyn were sitting pretty in the front row at Vera Wang’s New York Fashion Week show. Kylie was going for a full incognito look with a pink wig and oversized sunglasses, while Jordyn kept it more low-key with blonde hair and teeny tinted sunglasses.
August 2016: Jordyn models for Kylie Cosmetics
For the launch of her new lip kits, Kylie recruited three of her besties to show off the shades. Anastasia Karanikolaou and Justine Skye joined Jordyn for a photoshoot.
August 31, 2016: Kylie supports the launch of Jordyn’s first fashion line
Jordyn had her own major success when she collaborated with online fashion retailer Boohoo to create a size-inclusive clothing line. Kylie made an appearance at the launch party with her then-boo, Tyga.
August 2017: Jordyn appears on Life of Kylie
When E! launched the Keeping Up With the Kardashians spinoff Life of Kylie, fans were *so* excited to get an inside look at Kylie’s life. And since Jordyn was her BFF, it only made sense she was a big part of the show.
September 2017: Kylie and Jordyn get “married”
On the season finale of Life of Kylie, Jordyn and Kylie decided to make the ultimate commitment: marriage! While in Peru, the two organized an intimate commitment ceremony…but things got a little confusing when the leader of the ceremony mentioned “the rites to be married.” “Do we need to get this annulled after?” Kris whispered in a panic. “There’s no prenup! Fuck!”
Okay, so the marriage wasn’t real, but the vows they exchanged were precious either way.
“I vow to always be there for you, through thick and thin, in this life and after,” Jordyn told Kylie. “I promise to encourage you, inspire you, love you, through all the good and bad times,” Kylie replied.

October 2017: Jordyn gushes over Kylie
Back when rumors started swirling that Kylie was pregnant, Jordyn had her back by refusing to comment on it in the press. But she still had a ton of sweet things to say about her bestie.
“Honestly, you can’t really trust anyone. You really can’t,” Jordyn told People. “People stab you in the back all the time, but I feel like my friendships that I have, you just have the same understanding.”
“Obviously, I have my family and I have my mom, but sometimes you need that extra person that isn’t a part of everything, going through the same things as you. It’s really helpful. I feel like right now, at this age, you develop the friends that you’re going to have forever, and we do everything together.”
February 2018: Jordyn appears in Kylie’s pregnancy announcement video
Surprise, surprise: Kylie was pregnant all along, and of course Jordyn knew the whole time. In Kylie’s pregnancy announcement video, she revealed Jordyn was there when Kylie took the pregnancy test. When it confirmed that Kylie was indeed expecting, Jordyn responded, “Okay, well I guess we‘re both having a baby.”

June 2018: Jordyn and Kylie take a trip to Paris
Nothing like a romantic getaway to Paris…with your BFF, of course. Kylie and Jordyn decided to fly to France together to go to Paris Fashion Week, and they looked amazing in neon Louis Vuitton getups. The two attended the LV show in support of Virgil Abloh.
June 2018: Kylie reveals she and Jordyn live together
In a video with Vogue, Kylie casually revealed Jordyn lived with her, and she helped Kylie test out her new beauty products.
“I test out most of my stuff on Jordyn because we live together, so I’m like, ‘Jordyn, I need you,'” she said. “Everyone that comes in my house has tinted red arms from swatches and shadows.”
August 2018: Kylie supports the launch of Jordyn’s activewear brand
Jordyn launched her very own activewear brand called SECNDNTURE in August 2018, and Kylie was right by her side.
September 2018: Kylie and Jordyn launch their Kylie Cosmetics collaboration
It was only a matter of time before Kylie and Jordyn teamed up for a makeup collab. In September 2018, they launched the KYLIE X JORDYN collection for Kylie Cosmetics.
In her announcement post on Instagram, Kylie wrote, “Jordyn and I have had a true unmatchable relationship and I consider her family. She’s helped me remain ME throughout all these years.”
January 2019: Kylie and Jordyn vacation together
One of Jordyn’s final appearances on Kylie’s Instagram was in January 2019, when the two took a beach vacay together with baby Stormi. The two were very much still BFFs at the time, as evidenced by their matching neon green swimsuits.
February 19, 2019: Rumors spread that Tristan Thompson cheated on Khloé Kardashian with Jordyn
In the shock of the MF century, news broke that Tristan Thompson was cozying up to someone who wasn’t Khloé right after Valentine’s Day…and that someone was none other than Jordyn Woods. The two reportedly made out at a house party and “were all over each other.” Although Tristan initially denied the story, Khloé and Malika seemed to confirm the news, and sources reported Tristan admitted to Khloé it was true.
This was all one big YIKES. The Kardashian/Jenner fam was reportedly “beyond angry and disgusted,” while Kylie felt torn and didn’t know what to do. Khloé and Tristan eventually broke up after multiple rounds of cheating allegations.
March 2019: Jordyn appears on The Red Table Talk episode heard ‘round the world
Jordyn joined Jada Pinkett Smith on an episode of her Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk, to discuss the drama surrounding the scandal between her, Tristan, and Khloé. (And let’s just say, a lot of truths were told.) Jordyn confirmed she and Tristan “never” hooked up but said they DID kiss on the lips.
Other than admitting to the kiss, Jordyn also confirmed she told Khloé she’d been at the party, and she “knows” she’s not the reason behind Khloé and Tristan breaking up. She even offered to take a lie detector test to prove that she wasn’t lying about sleeping with Tristan. (Which, BTW, she eventually did.) This was a lot, y’all.
December 2020: Jordyn makes a rare comment about life post-Kylie friendship fallout
Jordyn opened up about what life has been like after the major Tristan/Kylie scandal on an episode of Pretty Little Thing’s Behind Closed Doors podcast.
“I think that you can’t let life dim you down and you can’t let things happen to you or whatever, you know what goes on in life, change who you are for the worst,” she said. “You have to constantly become better and evolve and everything is a learning lesson. I’m very happy with the people I have in my life and that’s just life. Everything comes full circle too.”
June 2021: Kylie addresses her fallout with Jordyn
Three months following the Red Table Talk show, Kylie addressed the falling out between her and Jordyn on the season 20 reunion of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “When we were friends, we never thought that we wouldn’t be friends,” she told host Andy Cohen. “It was kind of an overnight thing, and, you know, when she did something to my family, it felt like she did something to me.”
During the reunion, Khloé made it super clear she had no issues with Kylie rekindling a friendship with Jordyn. “I have told Kylie intimately that I would genuinely not care whatsoever if Kylie wants to be her friend again,” she said. “My sisters matter way more to me than any grudge or issue that I would have with another individual. And if I can allow Tristan back into my life, I need to allow the same forgiveness and acceptance of other people.” By the looks of it, Kylie and Jordyn’s friendship fizzled out.
December 2022: Jordyn responds to claims she shaded Kylie on TikTok
Back in December 2022, Jordyn hopped on a viral TikTok where users posed with their lips hidden, and revealed their natural lip shape. After Jordyn shared her take on the trend, fans somehow thought they connected the dots and claimed it was a dig at Kylie. Jordyn captioned the video, “😳😳😳 thank you mom & dad for these genetics,” and soon enough, fans came at her in the comment section, claiming she shaded her ex-bestie, who is vocal about getting lip fillers.
After many followers left comments like “Kylie Jenner is typing…” and “Why do I feel like this has something to do [with] Kylie?,” Jordyn eventually responded to one follower to clear the air. Responding to a TikToker who commented, “Ooooo the shade low key 🧐,” Jordyn quickly replied, “There’s no shade towards anyone, this is a trend I’ve seen a bunch of girls doing and I wanted to hop on 🤍.”
March 2023: Jordyn supports Selena Gomez amid the Hailey Bieber and Kylie drama
In case you somehow forgot, at the beginning of 2023, drama between Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber, and Kylie Jenner was circulating all over TikTok. Shade was thrown, over-laminated eyebrows were called out, and a whole lot of confusion was spread across the internet. Amid all of the drama, it seemed as though Jordyn may have subtly taken a side by showing support toward Sel after going on Snapchat to casually shout out Selena’s Rare Beauty lip liner. In her post, she wrote, “Love this lip liner if you’re wondering the shade color.” Is it a reach? Possibly.
July 2023: Jordyn and Kylie officially reunite in public for the first time in 4 years
No, your eyes do not deceive you. The Daily Mail dropped pics of Kylie and Jordyn publicly reuniting four years later after the infamous Tristan scandal. The ex-BFFs were seen heading out to dinner together at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles and naturally, the internet lost it.
A source revealed to People that before their reunion, Jordyn reached out to Kylie in hopes to rebuild their friendship and move forward. “Jordyn reached out to Kylie to apologize for how everything went down and let her know that she loves her,” the source said. Another insider leaked to the outlet that their public outing wasn’t exactly the first time they’ve seen each other since 2019. According to the source, they’ve been hanging out in private over the last year to work on their friendship, and they are ready to leave the drama behind them.
Another insider confirmed the news of the rekindled friendship to Entertainment Tonight, saying, “Jordyn has been making an effort to reestablish her friendship with Kylie. They have been talking and hanging out a little. Everyone has moved on and is on the same page and supportive.”
July 2023: Khloé posts some choice quotes on her Instagram Story
Fans quickly turned heads after Khloé dropped a number of quotes to her Instagram Stories soon after Kylie and Jordyn’s reunion went viral.
According to Insider, one of the first quotes read, “Never blame anyone in your life. The good people give you happiness. The bad people give you experience. The worst people give you a lesson. The best people give you memories.” Soon after, another quote was posted that read, “It’s easy to judge. It’s more difficult to understand.” Interesting. But wait, we aren’t done yet. The last Story included a quote that said, “It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations.”
Alright…we see where she is going with this. Does Khloé have thoughts about this reunion, or was she just feeling randomly inspirational and it’s all just one big coincidence? The world may never know!
