Lala Kent hit Instagram earlier this week with a post featuring two pictures: one of her daughter and a friend looking through a gate, and one of herself looking incredible in a swimsuit on July 4th. And apparently people had a lot of thoughts! To the point where Lala has taken it to Instagram Stories to defend herself.
In response to commenters who called her out for the post being “weird on every level” and straight up saying “shame on you,” Lala wrote. “I’m so over the mom shaming from some of you women. I’m a parent, work full time, rarely have one moment for just me, and for just a second on the 4th of July I felt hot and wanted a picture. Anything but praise is unwelcome. If you have anything negative to say, go fuck yourself. Leave me alone.”
She then added, “For the record, the kids weren’t watching me take this picture. And even if they were, we all have butts. Take time to love on yours.”
FYI, Lala did get some support on her post, with one person noting “men never have to put up with this kind of verbal lashing,” and another writing “y’all need to stop trolling. She’s a great mom.”
Lala is currently filming Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules, so TBD if this drama makes it on air. The cast obviously has a lot to cover this season in the aftermath of Scandoval, and let’s not forget Raquel Leviss is potentially starting up filming soon…
