Prince Harry Is Seated 3 Rows Behind Prince William and Kate Middleton at King Charles’s Coronation

Prince Harry just made his much-anticipated debut at King Charles’s fancy coronation ceremony (where several crowns will dramatically be placed atop Charles’s head), and we’re here to talk about where Harry is sitting. Because truly, the coronation seating chart makes your sister-in-law’s wedding seating chart look like a breeze.

Despite speculation that he’d be sitting “in Iceland,” ABC News says Harry will sit with Princess Eugenie in the third row. As he walked into the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey, he was sandwiched in between Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, and their spouses.

Please be advised that the Daily Mail previously reported that Prince Harry’s delay in RSVP-ing to the coronation was actually due to seating drama—with sources claiming he was “preoccupied” about where he’d sit, and there were “extensive discussions” between him and the Palace about it.

“Harry’s side was keen to find out, presumably because they wanted to rubber-stamp it, what the seating plan at the Abbey is,” one insider explained. “There’s been extensive back and forth about who they [Harry and Meghan] would be sitting behind if they came. And who would be behind them.”

Another source confirmed, “This is true. There has been a lot of questions on detail for the Abbey.”

So, sounds like Harry had approval over—or at least some say in!—where he’d sit during this event. Which makes sense since body language experts will be on deck ready to read into everything (love that for them/us).
