Taylor Swift resumed her Eras Tour in Tampa on Thursday, performing for the first time since news of her breakup with Joe Alwyn caused the internet to have a complete meltdown.
And while she didn’t mention the split directly, she definitely alluded to it, reportedly saying “Is it just me or do we have a lot of things to catch up on?” and then adding “It’s been a really long time since I’ve been on tour. And to say that a lot has happened is an understatement.”
Oh, and she also ended up performing “Speak Now” as the first surprise of the night!!!

In other news, Joe Alwyn has remained completely silent about the split, but sources have been DISHING.
According to Entertainment Tonight (which was the first to report on the news), the decision to breakup was mostly Taylor’s, due to the couple being in “totally different places in their lives right now.”
“It was more of Taylor’s decision to break up, but both of them realized that they weren’t completely right for one another,” the source said. “They had been together for such a long time and were spending so much time together, but their personalities were just too different. Joe is more introverted, shy, and quiet.”
The insider also added that “Taylor has nothing but respect for Joe and really loved and enjoyed all the time and memories she shared with him. They had a deep connection and she really appreciated that. She hopes they can be friendly in the future.”
