Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans’ son Jace has fortunately been found safe (and is now back at home) after TMZ reported that he had run away.
Jenelle’s manager updated E! News on the situation, saying in a statement “Jace has been found, and is safely at home with Jenelle and his family. Thank you to the Brunswick Co. Sheriff’s Department and to everyone else for their concerns.”
Jenelle also released a statement, shutting down reports that the incident was in anyway connected to her “situation” with husband David Eason.
“As a boy mom, kids can act up and rebel as I’m sure the majority of us all once did as kids too,” Jenelle said. “Jace got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that’s when he decided to run off. Jace is a good kid, and we’re not dealing with anything that most families don’t deal with while raising children. This has absolutely nothing to do with my situation with David, we do not argue in front of our children or fight in front of our kids. This is a teenage boy being a teenager mad that we decided to take his phone away.”
Jenelle was granted full custody of Jace from her mother Barbara in March, and told Us Weekly in part at the time “My mom and I decided together to grant full custody back to me because we want to build our relationship back as mother and daughter. Also, my mother agrees it’s time for Jace to be back with his siblings and living with a mother and father.”
