85 Pride Month Insta Captions to Celebrate and Show Your Support

Pride is just a few weeks away, which means it’s time to don your best rainbow attire, whip out the sparkles, and get pumped for the most joyful month of the year. There’s no right or wrong way to celebrate Pride Month, but no matter where you live—and regardless of whether or not you’re in a big city with a dedicated Pride parade—it’s a great time to acknowledge and honor the folks who paved the way for us to be able to celebrate Pride in the first place, rejoice in everything that makes the LGBTQ+ community so special, and reflect on the progress that still needs to be made.

Among tons of other things, you can (1) donate to LGBTQ+ organizations like GLAAD and The Trevor Project, (2) attend events showing your support for the LGBTQ+ community, (3) educate yourself further on LGBTQ+ history and issues, and (4) post a bomb Pride Month Instagram caption that celebrates the season and commemorates those who fought, and are still fighting, for LGBTQ+ equality. (Psst, it started with the Stonewall Riots, which is what happened when a bunch of badass LGBTQ+ people and allies decided to rebel against an unfair police raid at an NYC gay bar called the Stonewall Inn, sparking the entire LGBTQ+ rights movement.)

And remember: If you’re taking part in Pride celebrations as an ally, you’re a guest in an LGBTQ+ space. It’s important to acknowledge your privilege and ensure you’re prioritizing the community that Pride celebrates, and not just in June, but year round. Elect government reps who are going to fight for LGBTQ+ rights and progress, donate to the causes above (or any others that do similar work and that you feel strongly about), and do what you can to keep the space safe and friendly for the folks who are actually there to celebrate their love and their identities.

Once you’ve got all that down, it’s time to celebrate and snap all the cute pics of you and your Pride crew. We curated a list of Pride Month Instagram captions you’ll want to write down in your Notes tab for when you’re ready to post. Without further ado…
