Going on an insane scavenger hunt to shop Black-owned products has (for the most part) become a thing of the past. With Amazon creating a designated page for Black-owned small businesses to retailers like Sephora, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, West Elm and more taking the 15 Percent Pledge, Black-owned companies are finally getting some overdue recognition and shelf space.

With February just around the corner, it’s also a good time to support these businesses ahead of Black History Month. And doing so is just one of the many ways to recognize and celebrate the contributions African Americans have made to American society and society as a whole.
