Disney is having a booked and busy year. Along with responding to anti-LGBTQ legislation in Florida and rolling out new Disney Parks attractions, the studio is keeping us entertained with an endless flow of new original television shows and movies. Thanks to its many brands (Hulu, Disney+, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm), there’s really never been a shortage of exciting things coming out of the House of Mouse, but I think we can all agree that the new Disney movies coming in 2023 are especially exciting.
Disney’s 2023 movie lineup has a little bit of everything. There’s the end of two Marvel Cinematic Universe trilogies (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3), new live-action remakes of Disney animated classics like The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan & Wendy, nostalgia-inducing sequels (looking at you, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny), and a brand new Disney animated film starring Ariana DeBose. There’s something for everyone, whether you enjoy action over musicals or original animation over CGI.
