Depending on where you lurk on the internet, you might have come across rumors that Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler are engaged and trying to keep the news under-wraps. Sooo…are they? According to TMZ, not so much. A “source close to the couple” tells the outlet that they are “NOT engaged” so seems safe to assume Austin hasn’t proposed. At least not yet!
Reminder that these two have stayed pretty private about their relationship. Austin actually shut down a question about his personal life to GQ back in March 2022, saying, “I don’t think there’s anything I want to share about that. But thank you for providing the space.”
What we do know, however, is that these two have been going strong since at least late 2021. In fact, a source told Entertainment Tonight in January 2022 that “Kaia and Austin are seeing each other. They’re getting to know each other better and having a lot of fun hanging out. They’re very sweet and affectionate with each other and it feels comfortable between the two of them.”
AND a source told People that “She seems really happy. All of her friends think [Butler]’s really cute.”
While Kaia and Austin don’t speak out about their relationship, they do make public appearances—and their last red carpet was at the TIME 100 gala, where they weren’t shy about PDA:
