With the newest launch from Amazon, convenience and your conscience no longer need to sit as opposing shopping interests. The retailer’s sweeping Amazon Aware program touches on nearly every category that goes into your cart (fashion, home, and beauty) with options that allow you to stock up on essentials that are made in accordance with globally recognized sustainability certifications.

Apparel is created using materials such as recycled fabrics and organic cotton, while beauty products are made using vegan formulas free from fragrances. The latter is packaged in aluminum or glass containers to help reduce the amount of single-use plastics coming into our homes (refills are also available for certain products, allowing you to use even less packaging).

In an age and market where it’s increasingly easy to say one thing and do, well, nothing, Amazon Aware is showing it’s got real cred, too. The retailer is relying on a host of third-party certifications to confirm it’s truly doing what it set out to accomplish and that requires lots of transparency when it comes to logistics: The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) is one of the internationally recognized stamps of approval relied upon to verify that a garment marked as “recycled” or consciously created actually passes muster, and Amazon touts it regularly.
