Converse’s Pride Collection Recognizes That Every Path to Self-Love Looks Different With 5 New Shoes

For its sixth annual Pride collection, Converse has rolled out special edition sneakers — and a pair of slides! — with very important graphics. The five kicks featured in the campaign have iterations of jagged mountains that transition into colorful, free flowing summits, in order to convey that everyone’s journey to self-love can be struggling at times but is beautiful and unique on its own.

These five new styles are worn by young creatives who are members of the global All Star community and worked with over 50 LGBTQIA+ Converse teammates and their allies to dream up the capsule and campaign you see ahead. Converse By You offers nine additional customizable, gender neutral sneakers that round out the 2021 Pride collection (plus two little kids high-tops). There are also three celebratory graphic tees that range in size from XXXS to XXXL and retail from $20-$30.

To date, Converse has donated more than $1.3 million in support of local and global LGBTQIA+ organizations since launching its first Pride line in 2015. This year, as part of an ongoing partnership with the It Gets Better Project, funds will be dedicated to encouraging all individuals to be themselves on TikTok and Twitch. Additional grants have also been given to the Ali Forney Center, BAGLY, and OUT MetroWest.

Click through to meet and follow campaign stars Caleb, Rocio, Tereza, Ty, and Xandro, and see them model the iconic Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star High/Low, Run Star Hike, and Slide, or get creative with the rest of the shoes and add patches, license plates, and laces inspired by pride, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, nonbinary, transgender, and unity flags. The shoes start at $30 and cap off at $115. You’re going to love them all.
