It’s time to welcome new faces (and a familiar one) to Las Encinas, because Élite is back for another wild season! The series returned for its sixth season, and clearly Netflix knows how much fans can’t get enough of the drama since it already renewed the series for round seven. Is Élite really coming back for another season?
Netflix announced the big news a few weeks before season 6 began, and they obviously did it in iconic Élite style. Not only did they reveal the new season, but they also got the entire new cast together to film a cute video to show off the new faces:
Wait, who is the “familiar face” coming back?
Oh yeah, about that! Even graduation can’t keep Omar away from all the drama. It was announced that Omar Ayuso will be back as Omar Shanaa after leaving at the end of season 5. While we can’t yet guess exactly why he’s back in Spain, we can definitely expect him to be involved.
Are there any new faces joining?
Well, this is one major name that is joining the cast and you won’t guess who they are.
Brazillian singer Anitta is making her way to Spain to join the cast for the show’s seventh season. Netflix announced the big news on social media with some new shots of the singer in character.
There’s no word on who she’ll be playing, but we can’t wait to see her shake things up.
What will Élite season 7 be about?
Élite will likely pick up right after season 6’s big finale, which featured a mysterious shooter who came to Las Encinas. While we don’t know who was holding the gun and who was hurt, there are a number of people who might be looking for revenge based on what happened in season 6.
Has Netflix started filming yet?
Thanks to the very early renewal, production has already begun on the new season! Which is great news for us, because we might be able to get the season earlier.
When will season 7 be released?
At the 2023 TUDUM event, Netflix revealed a first look that also doubled as a date announcement. Not only did they reveal that the show will be back on October 20, they also gave us a glimpse at all the drama and hooks ups that will be shaking everyone to their core. Oh, and we also get to see Anitta in action!
