Kim Cattrall Filmed ‘And Just Like That’ Without Seeing Any Costars Amid Years-Long SJP Feud

In case you missed yesterday’s breaking news (still recovering), Kim Cattrall is returning to her Sex and the City roots with a cameo in the second season of And Just Like That. But apparently she filmed her scene completely solo, without interacting with any of her costars.

According to Variety, Samantha Jones will appear in one scene during the And Just Like That season 2 finale—and she filmed it way back on March 22 in NYC “without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series, including Sarah Jessica Parker” or even showrunner Michael Patrick King.

The scene in question involves a phone conversation between Samantha and Carrie, but yeah…based on Variety’s reporting, it sounds like they weren’t actually speaking during it.

Reminder that Kim and SJP haven’t exactly been on good terms over the last few years. Back in 2017, Kim denied that her “demands” held up the third Sex and the City movie during an interview with Piers Morgan, saying, “Nobody ever picks up the phone and tries to contact you and say, ‘How you doing?’ That would have been the way to handle it. This is, it feels like, a toxic relationship.”

Things escalated in 2018, when Kim responded publicly to SJP’s good wishes about her brother’s sudden passing by writing, “Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”

You can get caught up on all of SJP’s comments over this way, but most recently (read: 2021) SJP denied claims that she “doesn’t like” Kim:
