After almost a full year of mystery, Kylie Jenner has finally confirmed her son’s *official* (and, presumably permanent) name: Aire Webster.
Kylie announced the name in an Instagram post on Saturday. The post, captioned simply, “AIRE 🤍,” also included several pics of Kylie’s son (notably the first she’s shared of his very adorable face).
Some fans questioned exactly how to pronounce the unique name, including a fan account that shared a post about news and wondered in the caption, “Do you think it’s pronounced air or airey?”
Kylie saw the post and personally slid into the comments to clear up any confusion, commenting, “AIR ❤️.”
The name announcement comes after months of secrecy about her son’s name. While Kylie and her on-again, off-again partner Travis Scott had originally announced that their son’s name was Wolf, she revealed in March 2022 that they had decided to change the name because it didn’t really feel like a fit.
“FYI our sons name isn’t Wolf anymore,” she wrote in a post on her IG Story at the time. “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”
In September 2022, Kylie appeared on The Late Late Show and told host James Corden that her son’s name was still an unsettled issue and that she and Travis weren’t going to share the new name until they were really, really sure about it.
“We haven’t officially legally changed the name,” Kylie explained. “His name is still Wolf. His passport’s Wolf, but that isn’t gonna be his name. We’re just waiting.”

At the time, Kylie said that she and Travis were still officially undecided about the name, even though she said they *had* narrowed the field down to a clear top contender by that time (no word yet on if Aire was the name already topping the list back then though).
“Travis likes to sometimes … one day, he’ll be like, ‘Oooh, this name’s kinda cool,’ and change it again,” she said, explaining that they weren’t ready to share even their shortlist at that time.
Now that we have Stormi and Aire, we have to wonder if Kylie will stick to weather vibe names if she decides to grow her family more in the future.
