Miley Cyrus Just Released Her Topless Music Video for “Jaded,” and Fans Are Losing It

Happy Tuesday to Miley Cyrus and Miley Cyrus only! Today, the singer finally shared the new music video for her song “Jaded”—one of the many hits from her latest album, Endless Summer Vacation. The rock ballad is a departure from her more upbeat, independent girl era anthem “Flowers” and explores reflecting on a former relationship (which many fans assume is the one Miley had with Liam Hemsworth) with more perspective and from a distance.

The video is a reflection of the song’s general ~vibe~ and alternates between shots of Miley lounging on top of white bedsheets, idyllic blue skies and swimming pools, and a backdrop of palm trees as she belts out the powerful lyrics. Some have even noted that the scenes reference other videos of songs about Miley’s ex. 👀

Oh, and there’s also this 🤯🤯🤯 piece of intel:

Overall, the whole project is A BIG FREAKIN’ DEAL, but luckily Miley low-key teased its released to fans just yesterday on social media. “JADED. MUSIC VIDEO. TOMORROW. NOON EST,” the singer captioned the post, which garnered tons of attention from people who ran to the comments section to express their excitement. “WORLD TOUR NEXT PLS,” said one user, while another exclaimed, “SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP,” which, same.

*le sigh* Although no tour tied to the album has officially been confirmed, we luckily have this epic vid to tide us over.

And FYI, even before this ^^ sneak peek yesterday, the singer dropped another Easter egg à la Taylor Swift and cheekily teased the video right before our very eyes. This past Saturday, Miley shared a trio of pics showing her wearing the same outfit that she winds up donning on the bed in the “Jaded” music video. Plus, she even quoted the song’s lyrics in her caption, writing, “You’re lonely now & I hate it.” Hindsight is truly twenty-twenty, people.

[Verse 1]
I don’t wanna call and talk too long
I know it was wrong but never said I was sorry
Now I’ve had time to think it over
We’re much older and the bone’s too big to bury

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, isn’t it a shame that it ended like that?
Said goodbye forever but you never unpacked
We went to hell but we never came back

[Chorus]
I’m sorry that you’re jaded
I could’ve taken you places
You’re lonely now and I hate it
I’m sorry that you’re jaded

[Verse 2]
You’re not even willin’ to look at your part
You just jump in the car and head down to thе bar till you’re blurry
Don’t know when to stop, so you take it too far
I don’t know whеre you are and I’m left in the dark till I’m worried
Ooh, and it hurts me

[Pre-Chorus]
And it’s a fuckin’ shame that it ended like that
You broke your own heart but you’d never say that
We went to hell but we never came back

[Chorus]
I’m sorry that you’re jaded (jaded)
I could’ve taken you places (places)
You’re lonely now and I hate it
I’m sorry that you’re jaded

[Bridge]
I won’t lie, it won’t be easy
When somebody new is on your body
I’ll change my number but keep your T-shirt
I don’t mind it’s torn up and faded

[Chorus]
I’m sorry that you’re jaded (jaded)
I could’ve taken you places (places)
You’re lonely now and I hate it
I’m sorry that you’re jaded

[Outro]
I’m sorry that you’re jaded
