Prince Harry and King Charles Are Having Peace Talks, But Prince William Wants Nothing to Do Them

Looks like the frosty vibes are finally thawing between Prince Harry and King Charles, but Prince William still wants…pretty much nothing to do with his brother. The Telegraph reports that Harry and Charles “held peace talks” before Harry confirmed his plans to attend the coronation, but Harry still hasn’t exchanged a word with his brother.

According to an anonymous friend, Harry and Charles’ chats were “positive” but William is still feeling betrayed by Harry’s memoir Spare, as well as his multiple television appearances and Netflix docuseries.

Meanwhile, Harry spent “several weeks agonizing” over whether or not to attend the coronation, but a source says “It is about showing up, showing support and being there for his father. It was a very personal decision, not a PR one.”

While Harry and Charles are clearly mending fences, the rest of the royals aren’t on board with the reunion.

Sources told the Daily Mail that other family members have “no interest” in speaking to Harry beyond “the most basic of greetings,” and that William specifically has “no plans to speak to him.” Though honestly it’s not like there will be a ton of opportunity to chat—Harry is expected to attend literally just the coronation itself, and will be absent from all other ceremonies (including the balcony moment where the royals stand around and wave). He’ll then fly home to reunite with Meghan Markle—who’s staying in California to celebrate their son Archie’s 4th birthday!
