Welp, the coronation seating chart is truly rivaling the Buckingham Palace balcony when it comes to drama. And the latest? A ton of conflicting information about where Prince Harry is sitting. Quick refresher on what we know so far (warning: it’s endless):
- Back on April 13, The Express reported that Palace aides were trying to do their best to keep Harry and his brother Prince William completely separated at the coronation, and that Harry would be seated “several rows behind” senior royals to ensure “there can be no direct shot of William and Harry together.”
- On April 23, former royal butler Paul Burrell claimed (via The Sun) that Harry would be seated a full “ten rows back” from William, which seems….kinda extreme!
And now? Now a source is out here telling Page Six that Harry actually has no idea where he’s sitting, with the outlet reporting that officials haven’t told him “how far down he will be in the pecking order at Westminster Abbey.”
Per a source who spoke to the outlet, “Harry has not been told where he’s sitting yet, but I highly doubt that [it’s as far back as the 10th row]. Harry’s going to show up to support his dad. All I know is that it’s a stretch to ask much more for him…he doesn’t have any sort of agenda other than just getting in and getting out.”
Page Six also confirms that Harry asked about seating before RSVPing yes, with another insider saying “Harry’s heard nothing from Buckingham Palace for the seating. For the most part, I think all parties will be focused on making the day as special as possible for the king.”
