Sam Asghari’s Rep Responds to Claims That Sam’s Threatening to “Exploit” Britney Spears

Sam Asghari’s rep has denied reports that Sam is threatening to expose embarrassing information about Britney Spears. (Reminder: a source told Page Six that Sam is “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid. So that’s what Sam is focused on.”)

Speaking to E! News, Sam’s rep said, “There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos. However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.”

Last night, Sam broke his silence on the divorce on Instagram, saying “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together. We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Shit happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”

Sam filed for divorce on Wednesday, shortly after TMZ broke the news that he and Britney had “separated after a nuclear argument.”

A source tells People that Britney’s “in great spirits despite everything going on,” and that “Obviously it’s never an easy thing to go through, but she’s remaining positive and focusing on the future.” The insider also notes that Brit is focusing on her “book release, has an upcoming writers’ camp and is getting songs from some big artists. Ideally she would love to do a new record soon, and maybe a powerful song for the book’s release.”
