On Friday, Selena Gomez shared a bunch of snaps from her night out with friend Francia Raisa. It looked like the pair went to Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles together, joined by Selena’s friend Theresa Marie Mingus and a few other buds.
But it was Francia and Selena who unintentionally twinned. The How I Met Your Father actress posted a snap of her and Selena’s matching leopard print high heels. Selena shared the image before Francia reposted it in her Stories, writing, “No beef, just salsa,” adding, “(This was not planned).”
The comments seem to refer to the reported falling out between Selena and Francia last year. The pair were very close and Francia even donated a kidney to Selena, who needed a transplant following her lupus diagnosis. They seemed to have some sort of conflict after Selena referred to Taylor Swift as her “only friend” in the music industry, and a social media post from E! News about the interview with Rolling Stone caused Francia to write “interesting” in the Instagram comments.
On a TikTok about the conflict, Selena wrote, “Sorry I didn’t mention every person I know.”
However, in March on an episode of Apple TV+’s documentary series Dear…, Selena called Francia her “best friend” and said that she is “in debt” to her forever for her kidney donation.
“Within three days, she went to get tested, and she was a match. And it was one of those moments where I felt watched over,” Selena said. “I know I was so, so, so lucky.”
And last month, she celebrated Francia’s birthday on her Instagram.
“Happiest of birthdays to this special human beings. No matter where life takes us, I love you. ❤️ @franciaraisa,” Selena wrote in her caption.
Their night out on Friday signaled things are back on track. Francia shared another shot of herself at the restaurant, smiling happily.
And Selena had her own picture taken behind a large glass of white wine.
She also shared a photo of her outfit for the night, a long-sleeved black minidress with a thigh slit and a turtleneck.
And of course the leopard print heels.
