Steve Harvey might not be a real judge but he has definitely made his mark as one, evidenced by his latest nod.
The media personality is famous for being the longtime host of the hit game show Family Feud. But he is also the face of Judge Steve Harvey, which features him helping people solve disputes in a courtroom. The show developed a following after its January 2022 premiere, and season 2 will air starting on May 9. But ahead of new episodes dropping on ABC, the series’ social team announced the exciting news that the show received a 2023 Daytime Emmy Awards nomination for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program.
“Congratulations to #JudgeSteveHarvey on its #DaytimeEmmys nomination! 🎉,” read the caption of a photo uploaded to Instagram on April 27.
With Steve achieving such success, folks couldn’t contain their excitement over the potential accolade. What’s more, they took to the Instagram comments section to share their congratulations.
“Keep on keeping on Steve! I can’t wait to see what ‘Judge’ Harvey’s gonna say and do this time 🤣,” one person wrote. “You deserve it all because you keep it real awesome job 💜❤️🖤❤️🩹,” another added. “Amazing! Congrats! That’s huge!” a different follower said.
Between a new season of Judge Steve Harvey and an upcoming season of Celebrity Family Feud this summer, Steve is definitely on a career high right now. And based on the description for the upcoming episode of the courtroom-simulated series, Steve’s larger-than-life personality will be on display.
According to TVInsider, fans can expect the TV host to jump right into mediation with two new cases. The outlet describes the season 2 premiere as Steve getting in the middle of exes as they try to settle a legal battle over car loans and reimbursements on trips. He’ll also help out a pair of former best friends on the outs over a bet made on football.
Disagreements aside, we’re proud of Steve’s latest career milestone and fingers crossed he wins at the June 16 ceremony!
