So you think (or you know) you have rosacea. Welp, welcome to the (very) popular club of a casual 14 million Americans and, idk, a billion more worldwide. Despite how it may feel, you’re definitely not the only one dealing with flushed skin, spontaneous redness, spider veins, dryness, and overall sensitivity. And though it can be frustrating—especially since there’s no cure yet—there are plenty of treatment options, including prescription meds, professional therapy, and (my fav), soothing, calming, and redness-reducing rosacea creams.
But before I get into the goods, listen up: Over-the-counter rosacea creams won’t “fix” your rosacea, and they certainly aren’t as effective as prescription products (so pls visit your dermatologist!). Rosacea flare-ups will still come and go, whether randomly or from a common trigger, like spicy foods or stress.
