While Leo season is in full force, our forever fashion inspo Blake Lively just served us a healthy reminder that it’s almost Virgos‘ time to celebrate. The multihyphenate paid a visit to the Crown to Couture exhibit in London’s Kensington Palace on Tuesday, July 25. Naturally, Blake checked up on the display of her iconic transformative Versace gown from the 2022 Met Gala—and she really let her Virgo Sun shine through.
In a clip posted to her Instagram Stories, the It Ends With Us star jumped over the ropes of the exhibit to quickly fix the display of the gown. “When you’re the clown who hops over the rope at the museum to fix the exhibit,” she captioned the video. “Happy almost Virgo season folx.”
As she knelt down to alter the dress’ appearance with help from friend and jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz, Blake added, “So that you see what the transformation was.” ICYMI (and, let’s be real, it was kind of impossible to miss), Blake’s teal dress magically reconstructed into a rose gold number to represent New York’s Statue of Liberty. She totally understood the assignment for the 2022 Met Gala theme, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.”
In another IG slide, Blake expressed her gratitude for seeing her gown and Lorraine Schwartz’s jewels on display. “This was absolutely surreal. Seeing this crown that we made in Kensington Palace,” she wrote. “I still feel like a kid playing dress up every time I get to wear a gown and borrowed jewels out. To see it memorialized like this… just. Wow. Something I’ll never forget.”
Per People, the exhibition features 200 other pieces inside Princess Diana‘s former home, from Lizzo’s Thom Browne look from the 2022 Met Gala to Lady Gaga’s 2020 MTV Video Music Awards dress by Christopher John Rogers.
