How to Rent the Real-Life Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse on Airbnb

For as long as we can remember, Barbie’s Dreamhouse has been the upper echelon of fictional real-estate, but have you ever wondered what Ken’s private quarters look like? Well, the wait is over. In honor of Greta Gerwig’s highly-anticipated Barbie movie, Airbnb is giving guests a chance to stay at Barbie’s Dreamhouse—designed by Ken himself!

“We all have dreams, and Barbie is lucky enough to have a house full of them,” said Ken. “But now, it’s my turn, and I can’t wait to host guests inside these one-of-a-kind—dare I say, one-of-a-Ken?digs.”

Located in California’s sunny Malibu, Barbie’s pink palace has been decked out with some special features that have Ken’s seal of approval. A disco roller rink to show off your very best skating moves? Check. A gym to help Ken keep his plastic biceps in shape? You betcha. In fact, there’s even a sandy area should you feel so inclined to challenge someone to a “beach-off.” And, of course, the Malibu mansion has all of those essentials that make Barbie’s Dreamhouse oh-so-dreamy in the first place. (Highlights include a pink-to-perfection bedroom, supersized pool, and closet that could even rival Barbie’s!)

The catch? Availability is limited. Airbnb is giving away two one-night stays on July 21 and July 22, 2023—and each reservation only accommodates two guests. (You know, so you can get some quality time with your life’s Barbie…or Ken…or Midge…) Guests can request a stay at this Ken-friendly home on Monday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. PST. While rates for the one-night stays have yet to be disclosed, it’s worth noting that guests are responsible for transportation to and from Malibu.

That said, the four lucky visitors aren’t the only ones embracing all-things Barbie. To celebrate the movie’s debut—and this awesome listing—Airbnb will make a one-time donation to Save the Children, which provides learning resources and support to children, families, and communities in 100+ countries to build girls’ confidence and help them thrive in school. Because, as Barbie and her Dreamhouse proves time and time again, anything is possible. (Yes, even rocking some epic moves in a disco roller rink.)
