Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Were Filmed Holding Hands in LA and Are ‘Seeing Where’ Relationship Goes

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s Coachella kiss doesn’t actually seem like it’s only going to be a “one-off” thing. Australian journalist Jessica Rendall posted a video of Cabello and Mendes walking hand-in-hand in Los Angeles last night to her Instagram Story, writing that they are “CONFIRMED back together.”

She told Harper’s Bazaar Australia that she saw the pair on Santa Monica Boulevard while on vacation with her friends. “My jaw instantly dropped and he laughed and nodded at my reaction to seeing them together,” Rendall told the outlet.

“They were holding hands pretty tightly and seemed very snug and in love,” Rendall added. “They were deep in conversation about something so I didn’t want to stop them and ask for a photo.”

A source additionally told Page Six today that Mendes and Cabello are indeed exploring their relationship right now and whether they should reconcile. “[They are] hanging out again,” the source said, adding, “They’re enjoying getting reacquainted and seeing where it goes. [They] care about each other a lot.”

Mendes and Cabello haven’t commented on their exact relationship status themselves, leaving it a public mystery for now.

The second sighting comes after a source told Page Six on April 17 that Mendes and Cabello weren’t dating again despite their weekend Coachella kiss. They are single, friendly, and the kiss was “a one-off,” the source said.

“Shawn and Camila remain friends with a lot of love and history between them, but they aren’t dating again,” the source said. “They’ve stayed in touch since their breakup and decided to meet up at Coachella since they were both going. One thing led to another as the night progressed,” the source added, describing the kiss a one-time byproduct of that.

Mendes and Cabello dated for two years before announcing their breakup in November 2021. They broke the news with a joint statement posted to Instagram, writing, “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever ❤️ We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward ❤️❤️❤️ Camila and Shawn.”
