With proper maintenance, patio furniture can last anywhere from two to 15 years! To ensure your sectional makes it to adolescence, here are a couple of care tips you’ll wanna adopt:
Use a cover. This is included with many outdoor sectional purchases, but if not, make sure to buy a large-enough furniture cover to use whenever you head in for the night. Even if the cushions are water- and UV-resistant, covers will protect from dirt and stains, which can age the fabric.
Apply some furniture wax. Most outdoor sectional frames are made of wood or wicker. A layer of this product creates an extra barrier from dirt and moisture.
Wash those cushions on the reg. Take note of the wash instructions on your sectional’s cushion fabric and make sure you care for it accordingly. Many are safe to throw in the machine, while others can be cleaned with detergent and a damp washcloth.
