The set of Netflix’s Never Have I Ever is a literal teenage dream. For the show’s star, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, she’s taken pieces of that dream and brought them into her reality. She opened up to People about her favorite items from the show’s set and gushed about the ones she managed to bring home with her.
The 21-year-old said, “Well, I took the harp. I picked it up, put it in the plane, flew it back to Canada,” she joked. “No, no, no. Thankfully, production was really helpful in helping me take the harp home.” ICYMI: Maitreyi learned to play the harp because her character Devi Vishwakumar is a skilled musician in the series.
Saving a piece of Devi’s musical skills isn’t the only part of Never Have I Ever that Maitreyi snagged. She also raided Devi’s closet. “I also took one of her jackets just because it looked cute,” she said. “Then I also took a pair of blue jeans because it was tailored perfectly to my butt. As a Brown girl with a big a**, it’s important,” she added. “Yeah, I’m going to take the tailored jeans. I’m going to.”
Filming for the fourth and final season of Never Have I Ever wrapped in early August, Maitreyi also shared how she feels about the last season. “Personally, I’m happy. I think it’s going to be great,” she said. “If they keep it the same, for all I know, editing might make a difference. But no, I love it. I think it’s a really good ending. We really do go out with a bang.”
