Channing is finally asked about following all those Zoë fan accounts in an interview with Vanity Fair and has this to say: “I have no chill. I was just seeing what she was up to! Also, I didn’t know anyone would know.”
In that same convo, the actor also opens up about the early days of his romance with Zoë, explaining that the two had “lost touch” for a while after their initial meeting about Pussy Island. “Then, cut to two and a half years later, they had a new draft, and it was great. I was like, ‘Wow. You are really saying something,’” he adds. “That’s the kind of person you want to create with. That really has this perspective they’re constantly digging for.”
Channing also gets more personal, reflecting on how he functions in relationships, which he says are, “hard for me. Even though I am a bit of a monogamist. In business, I have no real fear of anything being destroyed. But heart things, when it comes to people I love, I have a really hard time. I end up trying too hard, you know?”

Another interview, some more cute Zoë + Channing content! This time, Zoë talks to GQ about Chan, saying, “He’s just a wonderful human. He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do. We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”
She adds, “Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever—he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet. I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger.”
